Kiran is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with full membership with Dietitians Australia. Kiran completed clinical placements at Westmead, Auburn and Blacktown Hospitals where she worked in the diabetes and cancer clinic, cardiovascular, gastroenterology, respiratory and surgical wards. Since graduating from her Masters Degree, Kiran has completed additional training with Jessica Turton at Ellipse Health, which has further expanded her knowledge, and given her first-hand experience in the practical applications of low-carbohydrate diets for various clinical populations. Kiran endeavours to use evidence-base practice to support her patients in optimising their health and improving the management of any health challenges they may be facing. Kiran is understanding of the complex interplay between mental and physical health. Her own personal health story involves recovering from disordered eating, and this experience has impacted the way she approaches dietary changes for her patients, especially when it comes to weight management and mental health. Kiran applies Medical Nutrition Therapy to the following health conditions: irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), the metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and overweight and obesity.
