Summary

Dr Sundaralingam is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with a subspecialty interest in Interventional endoscopy. He holds the following VMO positions:

  • Lakeview Private Hospital
  • Campbelltown Private Hospital
  • Camden Surgical Hospital (soon to be established)
  • Blacktown Public Hospital
  • Mount Druitt Public Hospital

Credentials

Dr Sundaralingam completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and certified by the Australian Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) for gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

He completed his post-graduate gastroenterology training at some of Sydney’s leading centres, including Liverpool hospital and Westmead hospital.

Dr Sundaralingam has undertaken two fellowships in pancreaticobiliary interventional endoscopy (ERCP and EUS), firstly at Liverpool and later in Canada where he worked performing biliary procedures at a leading liver transplant centre in Vancouver.

Areas of Interest

Dr Sundaralingam has an active interest in research and has been awarded a Masters of Medicine Degree at the University of Sydney. He has written and co-authored research which has been published and presented at major national & international gastroenterology conferences.

Dr Sundaralingam has a special interest in advanced pancreaticobiliary endoscopy including management of complex bile duct stones and pancreatic cancer.  He also has a strong interest in bowel cancer screening, diagnosis and prevention.
