Dr Xian Jun Mah

Dr Xian Jun Mah is a Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist & an Endoscopist at the Centre for Gastrointestinal Health.   Dr Mah’s practice encompasses all aspects of gastroenterology from irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux, bowel cancer screening and inflammatory bowel disease.  Dr Mah has a subspecialty interest in hepatology including portal hypertension and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). 

Dr Xian Jun Mah is actively involved in multiple clinical research trials with a commitment to providing evidence-based, high quality care for her patients. 

Dr Xian Jun Mah also holds a staff specialist position at Nepean Hospital. Dr Mah completed her bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney. Dr Mah undertook her specialist gastroenterology training at Westmead Hospital and a clinical/ research hepatology fellowship at Box Hill Hospital, Melbourne. She subsequently undertook an international fellowship at one of the leading units of Liver Transplant and Hepatology Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK.

Dr Mah is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians  (FRACP) and certified by the Australian Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) for gastroscopy and colonoscopy. She is a member of the British Association for the Study of The Liver (BASL) and the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL).

Dr Mah has a “no gap” policy for all her privately performed procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy and polypectomy. Dr Mah is fluent in Mandarin and is looking forward to providing quality care for the community.
